an extended lifespan would be great for space travel.

say you could live 150-200 years.

even with today's tech and a lot of effort, with extended lifespans, we would be able to make it out to any of the gas giants of the solar system, do research, maybe start building bases, and live long enough to see earth again.

i would not want to live forever myself, but a longer life that is a fairly healthy life doesn't sound bad. makes things like what i mentioned possible.
