Iraqi President Prediction

Iraq's government gets set up, with a leader set up, and advisors from the #e and other different factions, trying to work together. The U.S give Saddam over to Iraq, and despite the U.N. telling them not to, they publicly execute him by hanging him on the railing of his former palace in baghdad. a few months later, the Iraqi leader is killed in his limo on the way to the palace as a pickup slams into the limo and explodes. Convientantly the #e advisor takes the position of the democratic president. a few years later he refuses to leave, and turns Iraq again into a dictatorial government.

That'd be awful...

What I don't 'get' is why they allowed him to survive in the first place

If they'd just popped him off in that spider hole, then all the ensuing stuff wouldn't be happening (trial, etc.) Do we really *need* to see Saddam commandeer the courtroom (again)? His lawyers are trying to get him released. Can you imagine, if by some freak decision, he is set free?!

They should have taken him out when they had the chance... now anything can happen.

And it's obvious that the West doesn't understand the 'tribal' mentality in Afganistan *or* Iraq!
