Okay, I keep trying but..... nothing.

I go into my user profile and pick the time zone, save my edit profile and still can't get my time to show for my time zone. If I go back it is at the default again. What am I doing wrong?

Yes there seems to be a probelm.

I can get the time to show corretly. However, every time I go to my profile it reverts back to default. Then I inevitably have to go back in a second time and change it back.

why dont we just leave the sites clock alone and make something under our avatars the tell the time of where we are so ever body posting can be on a central site time but also they will what time it is where the users are

Every time you edit your profile the time will come up as default. This just means that you have to make sure the time is right every time you edit your profile. (Before clicking on the 'Edit Profile' button).

So then how do you explain that I am only editing to change the time and it still doesn't hold?

Hrm, magic?

What timezone are you trying to set it as, it may be an hour out either depending on Daylight Savings being different between you and the server, I am in +8 but need to set to +7 to get the right time at the moment. Is it anything like that?

Hey Relentless - allow the pothead to help - lol (referencing another thread
)

I had this exact same problem when I first joined....
www.abovetopsecret.com...

It's a simple trick really that Kano helped me out with...go to control panel, go to edit profile, change whatever else you want to change and then select your correct time zone....click the edit profile button and leave it at that - go to a thread and you'll see your local time in the posts....the clock in the top right-hand corner will not change, it is set to Simon Gray's time...

Note that anytime you return to that screen you'll always have to change it again, b/c it always reverts back to default, hence your problem....

Kano, or any other moderators reading this.....Is there anyway this can be addressed in the FAQ, tutorials, or some other official means?? This question has popped up millions of times, and when I see it I always try and set people straight, but they just keep asking the same thing over and over again.....I'm relatively knew here and have it figured out but some people have been here far longer than me and just say screw it - It drove me mad trying to read posts with 5:32am all over them, trying to decipher the real time it was posted - Thanks!

Hope that helps Relentless
