Being an avid reader, I can't just name one book.
Here are some of my favs:

People of the Lie - by Scott Peck (a study of human evil)

Toxic Parents - By Susan Forward (dysfunctional parenting & it's effects)

When Rabbit Howls - Truddi Chase (author had 90+ multiple personalities)

Thunder of Justice - Ed & Maureen Flynn (Catholic prophecies, end times)

Hostage to the Devil - Malachi Martin (True tales of the possessed)

Well, I haven't read anything but non-fiction for years, and there are so many good ones out there. But if I had to choose my all time favorite book/books of all time I would have to go all the way back to....

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe - C.S. Lewis

along with the rest of the Chronicles of Narnia.

To this day I find it some of the cleverest and most enjoyable reading.

A close second - The Little Prince.

Guess in the end sometimes I just need to get away from all the grown up stuff and revisit the kid inside.

Adrian mole diaries( all of them)- Sue Townsend

the Acid house- Irvine Welsh
