I don't disagree with trying Bush and his ilk for their crimes against humanity. But why stop there?
While the International Criminal Court is a powerful court, it is also a small one with limited resources. It only focuses on the worst of the worst
cases where nations are unable to respond. By proceeding with these charges it will help provide America the capacity to end the process of rendition.
I do not know why Obama, congress and the government are unable to address these issues themselves but it does sound like they are in a sticky
situation and do not know how to get out. Maybe they like being evil, maybe they are under duress, maybe they are stuck in legal limbo, maybe it is
some other reason? With these trials proceeding it will help motivate ending the illegal program.
