Why does this happen?

I just tried to post a reply to the question of "who the next pope could be" - I found the thread on recent postings. I typed up my choice, a clever joke and numerous references and background info on my choice. When I hit post reply - I got the message something to the effect - you are not allowed to post on this thread. Why weould that be. I am also a member of RATS as of yesterday - but its not a RATS thread. And I can't find this thread on recent posts anymore? Can anybody help - is there a REALLY REALLY ABOVE TOP SECRET club, that I need a zillion points for? The next pope is a topic I feel rather strongly about.

Can an individual "block" you from posting on their thread? Meaning like if you piss someone off?

No they cant "block" you. Mynaeris can you give me a link so that i can try and find out whats wrong?

Could you post a link to the thread? The thread could be locked while you were replying (this has happened to me a couple of times, usually just when this were getting "good") or it could have gone straight to the trash bin (same,same) either would be the result of a moderator assessing the content was a rehash of a previous thread (God, enlighten those as to the beauty and grandeur of the ATS search function), or the content was inappropriate and violated the "Terms of Use".

I've had problems a few times where my post vanished because ATS mysteriously refused the connection or it timed out, so I've begun copying text to my clipboard (or Notepad) before hitting "Post Reply". It's saved me a lot of grief.
