Hey all, just wanted to share this with you all.

Recently as most of you know a vast majority of Queensland Australia was inundated with flooding. It caused widespread devastation, similar to what we experienced in 1974. Up to 75% of Queensland experienced this, what im about to show you is only the capital city, Brisbane.

Interactive Overview Of The Queensland Flooding

I reside about 350kms north of here which experience inland tsunamis, walls of water which engulfed homes and businesses. We were some of the lucky ones.

Could not embed it to the thread.

Sorry Scuba, would have responded sooner but I was distracted actually checking out your link.
Absolutely fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Really a cool way to present the before/after. Looks like MOST of the houses are sitting on higher ground... certainly hope so. One thing that struck me in these photos is how much greener the trees are in just one day! They must have really been thirsty.

Thanks for the links, some great but sad images... I couldnt beleive the boats in Suncorp Stadium.

Also i couldnt beleive on the news this morning that some low lying area's are still flooded and that today's king tide was gonna put them under even more.

Holy dooley, scubagravy, looks like Queensland got it bad.

I've been to Ipswich going from Wagga Wagga to Bateman's Bay.

Three trips to Australia under my belt and nothing like that.

I hope the best for the survivors.

Interesting that your news channel offered an interactive view of before and after.

Might have been something to see for Hurricane Katrina for the U.S. to see the same concept.
