Does this mean the answer to life is held by NASA, and really is 42?

I couldn't help myself there, and I'm surprised no one else went for it first.

I don't know what NASA knows but ,
"the answer to life the universe and everything" = 42
There are 42 principles of Ma'at, the Ancient Egyptian personification of physical and moral law, order, and truth. In the judgement scene described in the Egyptian and the Book of the Coming/Going Forth by Day (the Book of the Dead (which evolved from the Coffin Texts and the Pyramid Texts)),
Maybe thats why NASA has a pyramid and a all seeing eye on their rockets

The number 42 appears in various contexts in Christianity. There are 42 generations (names) in the Gospel of Matthew's version of the Genealogy of Jesus; it is prophesied that for 42 months the Beast will hold dominion over the Earth (Revelation 13:5);

In Judaism, the number (in the Babylonian Talmud, compiled 375 AD to 499 AD) of the "Forty-Two Lettered Name" ascribed to God. Rab (or Rabhs), a 3rd century source in the Talmud stated "The Forty-Two Lettered Name is entrusted only to him who is pious, meek, middle-aged, free from bad temper, sober, and not insistent on his rights

In Western Hermetic sphere work 42 is the sum of the values of the 'true' spheres, 3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9 each of which represent one aspect of the body of God through which we observe the world.

The number 42 is in the novel The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is calculated by an enormous supercomputer over a period of 7.5 million years to be 42. Unfortunately no one knows what the question is.

Secret of life deciphered by NASA?
Nah, they would lose funding.
It is all a secret, and only the "experts" can clue us in.

As for the number 42, well I dont play craps so I would not know.

I personally like the number 7.

OK I'll bite: If NSA is the Devil we know, who is the devil we don't know?

I was wondering that myself.
You know, not to take this thread off topic but some people
speculate that these satellites moniter space for alien language, and that
they have been fine tuned for that also.

Maybe "aliens"?

A rogue nation? Just my two best guesses.

Nice post there. I was familiar with the hitch hikers guide one, but not the others.
Cool stuff. I'm going to have to do some looking into that 42 business.

Yeah, I found the patches to be pretty
creepy. You guesses were pretty much all I can think of as well.

Great find. This speaks volumes towards the xyz size/weight of payload and the amount of fuel necessary to escape the laws of gravity. A rocket of that size likely does not have any wasted space.

I couldn't give a hoot as to what they payload was... it was probably a huge walk-in fridge fully stocked with beer. I'm having flashbacks of the 2006 Super Bowl Magic Fridge commercial.

The part that is impressive is being able to make the walk-in freezer escape the grasp of gravity.

Kudos on the find, and kudos to the engineers that built and fired the beast.
