how much friends do you think you have that are real friends

As a general rule, i don't like 'people'.
But I would count maybe two as best buds... and perhaps I trust about 5-6 overall...
sometimes I have found enemies more honorable than friends.
It's odd how you can be surrounded by smiling faces and still feel completely alone, yes?

So true.... a real friend also sticks with you when the times are rough...no matter what.

With that being said, I have a handful of friends but one whom I consider the cream of the crop. She has been there for me even when her life has been hectic and I never take her for granted. As you say, it's difficult to find the really good ones so when you do, you make sure that they are treated right as you really don't want to lose them.

If a person has but one friend like this, they should consider themselves lucky as they are one in a million indeed.

My hubby is a true friend. I have one girl friend with whom I'm very close. The rest of the players in my life are merely acquaintances.

a real friend is someone who is there for the good times, but remains by your side through the bad times too...

can't say i have many of those... maybe one that i've known for 20 years... one...

Exactly, you find out if you have friends in bad times, and i had none.

35 years on this planet and and at least i found out at 17 the scum it held.

Misters Ruger, Smith and Wesson

honestly, my husband is my best friend.
Besides him I have only one person in my life that I consider a friend. We have nothing in comon, have different tastes in everything and yet he never judges anything I do and allows me my own lifestyle and opinion. He will call just to see if everything is still fine here, he called twice a day when I was pretty sick... that's more then what I can expect from my family.

and then there are a whole lot of "aquaintances" who only stop by or call when they need something, otherwhise I don't hear from them.
