Just tell me one thing. What crimes did President Bush commit?

If anyone would like to issue an arrest warrant for GWB (assuming the story were true), start issuing arrest warrants for at least 3/4ths of the world's leaders and politicians just to make it fair. I bet most of them have committed all sorts of crimes, anything ranging from tax evasion, taking bribes, lying to the public, making illegal back-door deals, to either supporting or allowing genocide to happen, and supporting terrorist states. I don't know why it is that American leaders are always getting all the attention when the world is so full of monsters from all sides of the globe. I hardly ever hear anything about other presidents and leaders on this board. I'm not defending the bad decisions and actions of American politicians, but it would be nice if other countries would look in the mirror once in a while before they start pointing fingers at others.

I agree that the state of affairs among the global rich and powerful is pretty sickening, corrupt and unacceptable in parts. There have been many investigations launched that have been impeded or blocked due to conflicts of interest, threats or evading over national boarders. When crimes are committed by the state or under its name there is a lack of ability to find a resolution as it is inappropriate for the state to investigate its self. The results of the 9/11 commission is just one of many examples. An independent authority for a higher source is the only way any sense of justice can be restored to many of these ongoing crimes. The Hague is one example of this being part of the UN body and has trialled over many big cases involving war crimes. It does take a lot of resources to perform this and perhaps another UN branch should be established to trial over large scale corruption involving ranges in billions and trillions of dollars. There has been good international collaboration that has targeted some global child pornography networks and support these ongoing endeavours.

Something tells me we'll never see justice on the scale that we'd like to see it. On my list of people who need to be punished for what they've done, Kim Jong Il is #1. at the moment. It is sickening what he has done to the North Koreans, and how many he has killed by execution, starvation, or enslaved and worked to death. I can't wait for his empire to fall, (and I hope it falls in my lifetime) so that all those people get to experience the world as it truly is. It makes my blood boil knowing that he meets with world officials, and nobody does anything to stop him. I get really angry when I think about it. If I were ever to come face to face with him, I'd feel the urge to split his chest open and pull out his beating heart. I just don't get it... I don't get why those close to him don't take the opportunity to stomp his life out, or at least turn on him and arrest him. My goodness... what a story that would be... if some president or world leader were to take a shot at him during a meeting. I'd have nothing but respect for that person.

Just because people die in war that do not "have it coming" doesn't mean the the leader of the victorious country is a war criminal. By that logic every leader that ever fought a war would be a war criminal.

I think you over inflate your numbers - Millions? Lets pretend that's correct. Is that the threshold that must be obtained to qualify as a war criminal? Why not one lone soul that does not "have it coming" - isn't one too many? Or do you draw your line at "millions"?

Agreed. I also acknowledge there is a lot of contention with the exact numbers of dead and injured, it is still a lot. Where we disagree is in the reason for releasing hell. Some believe in the official story of 9/11, some don't. I did believe in the official story for some time. When I started reviewing the events that day the facts did not match the official version. If the official story was correct then the facts would match. Something is wrong, very, very wrong.

You kind of dismissed my point- I'll assume you're acknowledging that I am correct. You said President Bush was a war criminal siting millions of innocent deaths. My point is there are innocent deaths in every war. SO does that make all leaders war criminals? If so, why aren't you ranting on about that others? Furthermore, why is your inflated number of "millions" the magic number to make one a war criminal - seems to me that if unjust deaths makes a war criminal then it only takes one, not millions.

I am a swiss citizen and i would like to make a little statement:

Not the swiss government wanted to arrest George W. Bush, it was the swiss section from amnesty international. They announced a lawsuit against George at the international human rights court.

The minister of justice, Simonetta Sommaruga, was just asked by the public press and amnesty international IF she would arrest George.

In fact, i think that it is incredible that a swiss member of the presidential chamber is actually thinking about to do it.
