theories on life on other planets

skeptics who rule out intelegent life on other planets are the crazy ones.
here are their main exuses and why they are wrong:
1. it took such amazing chances to produce us, how could it happen elsewhere?
this is wrong because although there was a very slim chance, this is over ruled by the number of planets out there.

2. but there isnt a suitable planet with the resources for life.
this is wrong because there are other lifeforms ON EARTH that live by different means thn us. there are so many planets and so many differences, it is impossible and ignorant to outrule the fact that there is life elsewhere. other species from other planets would almost certainly live differently than us, breathing somthing else, if the even breathe

plus stanley miller did that experiment with some primitive gasses thought to be present during early life, water, and electricity- it produced organic molecules in about a week. It doesn't seem unlikely at all that some form of life exists... *inserts alien emoticon*

Have you ever thought about the fact that "WE" might be the life on other planets. Just because we grew here doesn't mean that the original organisms formed here. Genetic alterations from outside species is not impossible, either... but very improbable.

A conservative estimate for the number of stars in the universe is:
10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

After rough estimates of planets, inhabitable solar systems, class M configuration, and random chance... we get about 1,000,000 civilizations (intelligent cultures). Remember, that's a conservative estimate of probability.

wow good point protector. if you ask me there was another more advanced civilazation before us. a few key point i found are just to big to ignore
1. as many know, the mayans had a safisticated alphabet. one of the symbols looked like the letter x. this symbol was pronounced as a hard h, thus the true pronunciation of mexico. in the current greek language, there is also a letter like x that is also pronounced h. theese civilazations never had influence on each other.
2. the hyroglphs on the walls of the mayan temples and buildings were in the same style as the egyptians.
3. in the bible there is a lot of evidence of technology above that time. for example, the walls of gerico, could the trumpets be an advanced weapon, translated wrong? who were the qiants in the bible? there are more than i can count!

Protector, the only thing I've noticed that might be wrong with that matematical theory is that it only takes into account the total number of possibly intelligent species...But it does not address the period of *time* that they might appear throughout the course of universal history. There may have been many intelligent species emerge, advance & die off in obscurity before gaining the technology for interstellar travel...But do these other intelligences exist within the same fram of time as our human species? How many of those other species will emerge after humankind is extinct?

All this means is that our chances of detecting/encountering intelligent extra-terrestrials within our own time frame reduces those odds.

Yeah time is a factor but whos to say that the civilizations aren't still around... Just because ours constantly destroys everything doesn't mean that all others do... But since everything here is just an estimate I guess it doesn't really matter...
