Invoking the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, peace and justice activists to descend on Quantico prison to protest torture of Bradley Manning
MLK Day plans call for noon demonstration at FBI headquarters in Washington followed by caravan to Quantico Marine Base
"Some of us who have already begun to break the silence of the night have found that the calling to speak is often a vocation of agony, but we must speak."
- Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
.....But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.
We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline....

i disagree, this march to free Bradley Manning is a stand for the justice and freedoms that king valued and taught us
Afghanistan was legal and authorized by the UN. Wikileaks, the group you guys worship, released information that Iraq did indeed have an active WMD program up to the 2003 invasion.
UN chief Kofi Annan tells the BBC the Iraq war was illegal
Bush, Jr. instead went to the United National Security Council to get a resolution authorizing the use of military force against Afghanistan and Al Qaeda. He failed. You have to remember that. This war has never been authorized by the United Nations Security Counci
The invasion of Afghanistan was not legitimate self-defense under article 51 of the charter because the attacks on Sept. 11 were criminal attacks, not "armed attacks" by another country. Afghanistan did not attack the United State
I find it intresting that people choose to ignore that release, most likely because it uses wikileaks to destroy a key argument and support the Bush administrations actions.
There are legal remedies available to military staff to report criminal activity.
MLK stood for justicce, freedom and persaonl responsibility and accountibility. People are using him in a distorted manner to paint a picture of manning. Manning has not even made it to court martial yet, yet everyone thinks they ahve all of the information because the internetz told us so.
