I was skimming through the article on US Concentration camps here:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

And when I clicked on the link at the bottom 'Discuss topic on discussion board' or whatever it says, it links to a thread that is in the trashbin and cannot be accessed... Why is this?

Wow, that's kind of weird. I don't think that it is any big deal really, I'm sure the mods have a good reason for closing the thread... Mods.... ...?

I don't think there is a conspiracy or anything, I expect someone adbused the thread or something.... Unless it was ordered to be shut down in which case I would have thought the whole article would go to...

Hopefully when some Mods come across this thread we'll get an answer anyhow!!

Perhaps it would be a good idea to start a new thread on it again, but it's probably best to hear back from admin why the first one was shut down before we rush ahead and do it.

all I got was a page with banner adds and a "Sorry, you are not permitted to view this forum"

There were probably other threads on the same topic.

It just seems a little odd, because why would the link from the information page on the main website link to a redundant thread? Why not link to an active one?
It's probably just something that's been overlooked I imagine.

Looks like an honest mistake.

When SO was working on the programming to feed main-site content from the discussion board, he used a few test threads in the trash. It looks like this was never moved out of the trash when he finished.

Moved it out.
