Great film, Roddy Piper and perhaps not a million miles away from the truth. (in that the government controls us to a certain extent)

And who can forget the classic one-liner "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass - And I'm all out of bubblegum!"

Definitely one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies.

Good film, I cant help but think that one of our british comedys ripped off the bubblegum line though.

great(yet cheesy to some degree) movie. my friends and i had a minor obsession with it back when we were younger.

imagine my surprise when Southpark did a complete version of the big fight scene when rowdy was trying to make Frank put on the glasses.

Great movie, took a couple viewings for it to grow on me though. Did you know the tool that one of the troops are using is a PKE from ghostbusters?

Is there a blu ray release set for this yet?

Indeed, the movie is a cult classic and one of my favorites.

This movie definitely has some conspiracy theory style themes and reminds me very much of the crazy stuff that David Icke says about Reptilians who live in another spectrum. I have to wonder if he's ever seen the movie and whether he got his ideas before or after seeing it

Pretty sure demon possession has a pretty plausible explanation (misunderstood mental illnesses). Someone ought to tell Icke to stop living in the Dark Ages

No it does not, shrinks cannot explain weird goings on. How does electronic mind control work remotely? Oh no, thats false too, even though i have lived 19 years with it in london, lol, and its well known and accepted by everyone that i have these techs monitoring me. How do they do this?

They Live is a great movie. It is a low budget B movie but it's still great. The fight scene is hilarious. The Rowdy one does a great job in this flick. When he said the bubble gum line I remember just going GROAN, but I never forgot it and have used it many times since then. I guess it's not a groaner after all.

This was just on the other day,although the acting isn't great I always enjoyed this movie.

Yeah the mighty Duke Nukem used that line too in his games (along with stealing a bunch of Ash quotes from Army of Darkness but I digress).

Love this movie, absolutely epic. Not quite as awesome to me as Commando but it's up there

Great movie. Definitely parallels real life.
I think if I had the glasses, the magazines would say "Marry and reproduce", "Watch Lindsay Lohan", and "Jersey Shore is good"

I love this movie. I try to watch it every chance I get. It's pretty much how we live our lives today. Stay silent and do as your told. Even with the cheesy acting, it's still great. I miss those old 80's action movies.

The best bit about that line is that Roddy Piper just ad-libbed it on the spot, the man should have been a script writer
