Gerald Celente of TrendsResearch.com had predicted that as state revenues fall, they will attempt draconian taxation measures.

Illinois has started such a trend by raising their state taxes some 66%! From 3% to a whopping 5%. This is over and beyond Federal Taxes folks. And on top of this is a austerity program to boot! That means that civil services are going to be cut too. Now that the precedent has been set, watch the other beleaguered states soon follow.

And here is Celente speaking about just such a phenomena happening this morning.

People, here it comes.

Yes I predicted this too several times many years ago.

But for some strange reason, since I don't run a business that makes money off of fear-economics, no one published any articles about my dire predictions.

He's been saying the same crap for years.

When i first started posting here I shared many of his videos. Tons of what he has stated has NOT come true. If you've looked at his former predictions you'd see that.

He's as full of S as anybody.....he's just making money off of it.

I'd probably be just as accurate as him if all my ideas were put forth and spread around the net....and so would damn near everyone else.

We don't really now what's going to happen...it's all speculation.

That's nice, but I'll trust his predictions over yours any day of the wee David9176.

And another thing that Mr. Celente is good at doing is putting things into a proper perspective. Which in a sea of confusion definately helps to know which way the winds are blowing the sails.

Yes, some of his predictions have not yet come true. But then again, many of mine have not either, nor have yours, which brings us back to who among us we can trust to make the best predictions about the economy and I'll still tip my hat to him. As he does appear to be on the common man's side. Which in today's world is a blessing.

So you can go throw your rocks at your own glass house first and decide who you are in favor of supporting as well. A man who tries to tell it like it is to the common folk. Or a corporate media outfit that tells you exactly what the fascism of the west wants you to hear.

a blessing? this guy does nothing more than fear monger and get fat off profit from these "predictions", which so far have been vague and off base.

Illinois also raised the state corporate tax to 9.7%. This is on top of the federal corporate tax of 35-39%.

Hmmm, I wonder if that means prices of goods from Illinois are going to go up?

Oh the insanity of it all. Those evil corporations, better send them to another country, it will help with the job market.

I was reading about this at a Chicago paper and a few commentors were saying they were packing up.

So, do you think elections have no consequences folks?
