hello - new here

i'm one of the ones to discover the site due to the shooting. i browsed a few days and decided to make an account since there seem to be a lot of really good discussions. i doubt i'll be hugely active here but i've already learned some new and interesting things so i'll keep coming back. i'm glad i found ATS : )

(at the top of this forum there is a "new members come here if you need advice" post... the zedd's handbook link doesn't work for me... is there another link?)

Hi there enemoplem, and welcome aboard. There are tons of topics to read about here at ATS. I don't post very often but I do spend a couple of hours a day here following threads to see how they pan out. Enjoy!!

I hope you don't mind me asking but I am curious. Exactly what was it about the shooting that drew you to ATS? I know that ATS has been mentioned in the media regarding the supposed affiliation with the shooter, but what did they say that made you want to check us out and what did you expect to find?

I am sure that many others have visited ATS after hearing about it in the media; I am just curious about what they thought they were going to find here and was it what they expected?

i was reading about the shooting and someone had put a link to here (his posts specifically) in the comments of the article. i was curious to see what his posts were like and after i read them i decided to look more through the site. i kept coming back so i decided to make an account.

edited to add that when i saw the link to here it was pretty soon after the shooting. i hadn't heard about ATS in the news at all.
