actually I just looked at their DOB and the year that particular album was written, they were in their late 20's, it was I who was in my teens I followed Metallica since "Ride the Lightning" / "Master of Puppets" around 12 or 13 years old, that's my generation as the Who would put it...

actually no, I am just interested in origins of language and words, or better yet why people use them. I've been behind the plow my lifetime here so far, though I really wish I was afforded that opportunity, I am too busy paying taxes and rent, ect...

Being Jewish I'm going to answer from the Jewish point of view. What is a soul?

The soul is the self, the "I" that inhabits the body and acts through it. Without the soul, the body is like a light bulb without electricity, a computer without the software, a space suit with no astronaut inside. With the introduction of the soul, the body acquires life, sight and hearing, thought and speech, intelligence and emotions, will and desire, personality and identity.
