I think there's a way of saving a JPEG image (without changing it, obviously) that does not degrade the image further, but I'm not sure.

HEX n EXIF very suspect at the mo tho...

And btw.. Usually the copyright etc is added post processing. FWIW.

Aparently there is..

There is an optional lossless mode defined in the JPEG standard; however, that mode is not widely supported in products.

Wikipedia

Also I didn't knew that sometimes when you rotate an image if its in jpeg it looses some quality.

Lossless JPEG editing/compression effectively does not exist, since pretty much nobody uses it. We gotta assume its compressed. Still hoping greeneyedleo will post Image 1 and Image 2 in a zip file somewhere @ the original resolution (about 3 megabyte files).

hi, great discussion so far regarding these pics!

i was wondering if in fact the two pictures that include the 'jeep' in the picture actually show a bird in flight....?

and this picture which was taken in Cornwall and reported to be a UFO

link to birds that have been mistaken for UFO's UFO? No a bird

Just a thought

Versa, if you check out my analysis images a few pages back, you can see the shape of the object very clearly - definitely not a bird. At least any bird I am familiar with
