I am wondering something Illmatic67, What is Dr. Richard King's background and study. I am not getting to anything because of race, what I am getting to is rules of ATS message forum, Which says that we cannot post false or misleading information. I have studied biology, lots of biology especially in college. There is no proof to what you are saying.
I know that you know who Dr. Richard King is because you have copied what he wrote word for word. He has been disproven by countless scientists. Melanin is a pigment. It colors eyes, hair, skin, iris, etc. It is not a miracle chemical.
Again I am not saying anything against you, just that you may want to research your sources before placing them on here as facts.

If I were you I'd go back to that college you went to and demand them to reimburse you for your money because you've been taught wrongly.

Melanin is essential for everything. It gives people physical and mental capabilities. Why do you think black babies are more attentive and crawl and walk earlier than white babies? Because of MELANIN.

Black is dominant, period, and if you think this is wrong your college sucks.

Saph, the problem is that the assimilation did not occur, due to "freedom fighters" or otherwise. Assimilation comes naturally and with time, freedom fighters are not necessary. Artificial interference (I'm not referring to the righteous abolishment of slavery, but assimilation) creates difficulty in the long run. No other color or race has had the same difficulty as far as I can think.
I believe there is a reason for this, I don't think that the continuous friction is by accident, and I believe the plan was set in motion decades ago. Furthermore, I believe Martin Luther King was used for the plan.

I refuse to lower myself to arguing about propaganda B.S., therefore this will be my last post on this topic.
Illmatic67 you should try to post where you got this "information" and use real scientists, not propaganda B.S. I would really like to know what great school you went to that is teaching information that other scientists have proved WRONG.

I was curious about melanin (as i have never heard these ideas so I went looking.
For anyone else who is curious, here are a few links I found...

First, most 'medical' sites simply say that melanin determines our skin color, eye color, etc...

These two links talk of melanin as part of a 'more evolved system' which is at least partially lacking in those of lighter skin

I found no real scientific evidence for or against on any of the links... The second link I posted does list sources for the claims (books, not websites) although it doesn't qoute any but simply generalizes.

KOS--sounds like illmatic got his info from the honorable elijah muhammad, i call him honorable because in some ways he was and in others he was lacking. i think black folk needed the NOI and Islam in general after being oppressed to be able to look at themselves and actually see love and from that create love. but, in the end it is a religion that stifles what is natural and teaches hate like most religions do. the truth is relative and the science we are speaking of is not an exact science therefore nothing has been disproven or proved to a point where you can discount this arguement.

Just wanted to say that race is one way that government uses to seperate us and makes us hate one another. You guys need to chill and for anyone to say race has anything to do with how smart a person is a fool. There are people of all races who are very intellegent. There are also people of every race who are incompetant and hypocrites. Lets not put negative energy on each other, lets put it where it's due>government not the people it uses for it's own selfish gains! One Love!
