Based upon past experience studying whack shooters, his confused mental status will be cited as motive, but it will not be enough to get him sent to the nuthouse. He will do his time in prison.

Can you imagine an extreme natural disaster actually happening which could lead to FEMA camps being set up to help handle the situation and trying to get people in said camps, which to a conspiracy theorist translates into FEMA death camps, which would probably ultimately lead to him trying to fight this 'death camp' violently to free the soon to be deceased occupants? This is always been a concern of mine with the recent popularization of conspiracy theories and is, in my opinion, an extremely plausible situation.

What about people who think abortion is child murder or the Iraq war was unjust? There are millions of people with these views (and millions who don't agree with their "logic"). Sure there have been a few examples of people who became violent who held these beliefs but 99.99% did not. Do you think these beliefs are dangerous too?

Not specifically, I was trying to refer to more these right wing conspiracy theories as they are factually incorrect and believed by people who view violently removing opposition is a good idea, not arguments about abortion. Basically, a lack of skepticism and critical thinking combined with conspiracy type thinking and supported by right wing ideology such as violent revolution isn't a great combination, and will result in tragedy.

I don't have anything against people talking about abortion, but when one side, for example, starts to turn into a party that parades the idea that abortion is being used to fuel Satan with the souls of unborn babies for his evil energy, that is going to cause acts of violent opposition from an idea that is just incorrect and supported by a lack of critical thinking.

That's what's dangerous, a lack of critical thinking and skepticism that can drive individuals into living and acting on their delusional beliefs.
