Thanks.

Just caught a news report on the tube saying that the note associated to the packages was from someone who was upset with the yellow signs in Maryland asking folks to report suspicious packages..

Couldn't find a source online yet, but will post one as soon as it's available...

Now NewYork ups it's awareness...

NYPD On Lookout For Suspicious Package Following Maryland Scares

The New York City Police Department's Counter Terrorism Bureau has sent out a reminder of signs of a suspicious package, after two packages ignited in separate Maryland government buildings on Thursday.
Among the signs of a suspicious package are no return address, a strange odor, stains on the the wrapper and protruding wires.

Do not touch a package if you think it is suspicious and call 911.

Is it just me or does the headline of the article seem a bit too much?

Finally, an article mentioning the message...

Terror Ruled Out in Md. Burning Packages

...Investigators suspect the small devices were sent by someone, angry over Maryland road signs, asking motorists to report suspicious activity.

Part of a note enclosed with one of the packages read: "Report suspicious activity...total bullsh**...you have created a self-fulfilling prophecy. Signed, X"

The scare caused the evacuation of 300 people.

CBS News Homeland Security Correspondent Bob Orr reports that both packages were sent through the mail, and that law enforcement officials are not calling them bombs. The State Fire Marshall's office reported finding no explosive material in either. ..

It would seem someone has a rather twisted sense of irony.

While reading this I couldn't sway the shoe and underwear bombers out of my thoughts.

Failed attempts to cause real damage, but the legislation to further annihilate the constitution looms grimly.

I'll be vehement to see what legislation gets passed due to these acts of ????

It's not real terror unless it's genuine Al Qaeda™ brand terror.

Accept no substitutes or cheap imitations!

Hey lets see, smoke and a sulphur like odor...hmmmm what could that be?
STINK BOMBS!
Some wiseass cracker sent them some stink bombs...because he/she was pissed with the public campagn to report suspicious activity....which actaully IS total Bull S&*(t
This kind of enlistment of the public is just further conditioning towards the establishment of something other than a constitutional republic in ther USA.
How Ironic that russiaa becomes democratic, and the USA becimes totalitarian state.
After each opposing the other for fifty years, they each BECOME the OTHER!
I am sure there is a great psycho social lesson to be learned here....
just what it is remains to play out....
