www.msnbc.msn.com...

"The strange disappearance of Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun, reportedly kidnapped in Iraq nearly three weeks ago, grows even more mysterious."

Hmmmmmm...

Now why would this be considered a hoax????
Why would someone fake him being alive?

If this is a hoax. OMG. I say turn him over to terrorists and let them have fun with him. That would be a seriously sick hoax given what has happened to others.

I don't think they faked that he is alive..it is more like they faked that he was kidnapped..beheaded etc. What would the reason for that be? Did he go AWOL and some buddies decide to help him out by making it look like he had been kidnapped? Did he try to defect? No there is much more to this story. How did he get clear across Syria? Can't wait to see how this plays out. But they need to take him out of the military...pronto!

I heard a report today that he showed up okay in Lebanon. But that some officials had a search warrant and were searching his home here in the states for some reason. Don't remember all the details.

I find it a little strange that he would be able to make it clear across Syria to Lebanon. Who helped him? Did he infiltrate the military? this man has alot of questions to answer for this one. Where is his true allegiance?

This whole thing is odd and disturbing. Was he a fellow Muslim - recanting got him released. Odd they let him go when he was "military" when others who were not so lucky were contractors, etc.

From the website:

"We don't know whether this group is simply an Internet address. ... We don't know if they were simply fabricated. We have no idea what's going on here," says terrorism expert Steve Emerson.

And we don't know who really beheaded the others as well. In my opinion, maybe this was an attempt by the CIA to have this Marine beheaded and that they screwed up, so now they decided to scrap it instead.

With all the beheadings and Nick Berg scenario, these beheading situations should have been tracked down by now.

My thoughts exactly...If they beheaded him...it would have been very fishy to the islamic community...didn't they let go the three muslims turks?
