I've been reading quite a few threads here on ATS, I've been following the news online and on TV, and I've been reading a bunch of blogs and I've
been looking at different political forums over the past few years and I've come to the conclusion that everyone has gone crazy. That's right.
Even I am crazy. You're crazy. Your girlfriend is probably crazy. Your boyfriend is probably crazy too (if you're a girl). We're all crazy!
I don't think anything makes sense anymore. We're all spoonfed information from the media. Politics has become a form of entertainment. We are
trained in schools to get an education and then we're going to be slaves later on in life. Even though slavery was abolished by the constitution
we're going to be working for the rest of our lives. I don't consider it exactly slavery since we're choosing to do what we want to do... but for
most of the population in all honesty they won't get to do much later on with their lives.
We have a broken home market. We have a broken financial system (when I speak of we I mean globally, not just the US). Elites are constantly
oppressing the masses and when they aren't oppressing the masses they're always lying to the people or they're making false promises. People
believe the elites and report on what they say as if they really mean what they say. Everyone knows they're liars... but they don't care.
Everyone's obsessed with movies, music, and television. If we don't have these technologies life would be dull and boring. More people are reading
books now because of devices like the kindle and the ipad but at the same time less people including myself are purchasing physical books. People are
only becoming aware of the US's warcrimes and the crimes of other nations through wikileaks, as if they couldn't have thought of it before. I'm
supportive of wikileaks... but some people are just hearing about all this now.
Corporations can get away with lying and exploiting everyone else. They aren't even exploiting other people anymore. People seem to want buy just
anything from corporations. We've been spoonfed a society full of material things as if material things were the only important thing out there. I
like material things too and I find myself wanting to buy material things from corporations... even though I know that material things aren't the
most important thing in life. I'm not saying it's not necessarily a bad thing to provide services to the people, but that it's become so connected
with our life.
We're told that if we don't have Obamacare that health care costs will skyrocket... that the private health care industry adds a lot to our national
debt. We're told that the health care industry is private yet it's done very much along state lines... it's not a true free market health care
system. They're just a bunch of cartels, and Republicans and certain libertarians guard against Obamacare because they believe it will bring
socialism, when that kind of government-business partnership (fascism) is already here! They think that they're defending the free-market but
they're really just defending a state-run health care system. That's kind of Orwellian, isn't it?
We're fighting a bunch of foreign wars. No one seems to know when they'll all end. Our government is setting up body-scanners to give people the
illusion of protection. If you don't accept them you'll get groped in the crotch.
Obama is blocking other nations from prosecuting the Bush war crimes. Obama wants to keep all the Bush powers and he is even expanding his powers to
be even more...
I ask you, has everyone gone crazy? Has our political system gone insane? Are there any sane people left? Is there anyone who is really consistent
out there? When will we ever snap out of this? What has come to the world?
