I live upstairs from a bar that I run. The bar caught fire and i was rescued by my neighbors. The police officer would not enter my apartment because of the smoke, but my neighbors ran in several times to look for me, and on their last attempt, they heard me cough and started dragging me out. My dog stayed by my side as well (good boy)

My guardian angel was working overtime!!

It seems there was more to what happened than sheer luck.

That near-death and sudden faith deal?

Funny how that seems to work out.

So what you are telling me, in another situation a child in a fire dies, or some other innocent person, they had no guardian angel and must be evil.

Yeeeahhh sounds about right to me.

Same deal with plane crashes, some survive "thank god" for saving them. Whats the deal - the others were not worth saving by god?

Oh thats right god had other plans for them. Like letting them die horribly in a fire. Sounds sensible to me.

I'm very happy for you but this just shows that local police have become a complete disgrace. They get paid big bucks to take risk and more often than not refuse to take any at all. The latest stories show that police simply kill your dog during a raid rather than risk getting a dog bite. Absolute disgrace.

whoa...settle down, and please don't put words in my mouth.

IMO there is a plan for everyone, whether it makes sense or not....

Glad you are ok!
I'll bet it feels nice to breathe the fresh air.
I'm thinking in your case, your neighbors are your guardian angels.
Good for them, you owe them a beer!

REPLY TO FAR ARCHER & DRAGON12

gee...
thats not nice
if the guy had a NDE or nearly had his goose cooked
he was gonna die but got rescued of course he's found faith if not in a god then his fellow man
any body in such a situation has is gonna be overly emotional and maybe preachy to others
he has a sudden need to reach out to anybody and try to share his positive feeling-vibe
he's not starting a cult.

chill

Right!
Let's not forget the critters.
I've read many stories of animals waking up owners when they sensed "something was wrong".
Some turned out to be life savers.
