It just seems to me that a major vulnerability to mind control rays would be the places where people congregate en mass collaboration or cooperation, such as in Churches, Temples, Mosques, and Congress.

Maybe these folks merely "think" they are communicating with gods or something, is anybody else concerned about this possible ruse like I am?

Extraordinary rendition gives the lie to that popular myth that someone, somewhere can use mind control in any way surpassing media influence. We're all susceptible to societal programming, socialisation and peer pressures. Essentially, we can't get away from it.

The modern 'mind control' paranoia goes further...

This myth that shady agencies have the capacity to exert mind control on individuals or groups is quite possibly a similar shade to 'mesmerism' from the olden days. It's designed to encourage people in the belief that our private thoughts can not only be accessed at will, but controlled, redesigned and reconstructed in chosen images.

I believe it's propaganda. There are elements of truth deep inside it all, but mostly it's propaganda.

In my opinion there seems to be a misunderstanding regarding mind control, as if anyone can control others' minds or it's easy to do. Mind control requires an impressionable mind, that of a child for example, in order to seed it with whatever kind of control is desired. This is why religions aim for the young and since their parents are already conditioned, bringing the kids to church, temple, etc., it's a perpetuation that will never end. If children were not available religion would end with the last adult that was conditioned. Skeptics are not conditioned so we finally would inherit the earth!

There are individuals who can create instant mind-control but it's a short-lived effect mainly because of ethics. Stage magicians have, using volunteers, created negative and positive mental effects. A negative effect is telling the subject that they cannot see so-and-so even though so-and-so is standing right in front of them. Somehow, the mind fills in the space occupied by so-and-so. A positive effect is when the subject hallucinates whatever the hypnotist tells the subject to "see" even though no one else sees what the subject "sees".

Real, long-lasting mind control though, once done is almost impossible to replace with a free mind. Cult deprogrammers have to work extremely hard to free a cult member of the controlling forces. Now, you may say, cult members are adults and you said that childrens' impressionable minds are required. Any adult that find themselves in any situation where an authority figure is going to drone on for a length of time will eventually be "hypnotized" and their minds will be controlled to do the controllers' will. But since a cult deprogrammer may eventually be successful it means that they were dealing with a temporary situation as opposed to childrens' minds being "permanently" controlled to react favorably to religious controls such as the silly religious rituals you see in churches, temples, etc. It also can be seen on TV constantly where you see a grieving widow telling the child(ren) that they will eventually join their dad in heaven. THAT is lasting mental conditioning!

Is AM Radio mind control?...if AM (amplitude modulation) radio can be mind control, then perhaps it is possible for aliens to broadcast intense AM radio waves via satellite dish directly at official buildings and such, perhaps using a frequency that is outside the official bandwidth for AM radio, which would induce certain subtle thoughts (by vocal chord or cochlea reception via neural nueron stimulation) directly into the minds of the congregations of religion and conferences of government.

There is little reason to believe that would be true.

Human society in itself is build out of multiple individuality. Controlling political and religious leaders would give very little respite on the short run and war and rebellion on the long run. It is so even when there is no brain control taking place.

As long as one individual feels te need to rebel, then more will feel so or start to feel so. It is for such a reason that 'control' of the human population can only be uphold until a certain level and never total. The level of control is nog high enough to make the control permanent. Or race is far to caotic to be effectively controlled as a whole.

Well, yes, but the aliens only need to blast their mind rays periodically whenever a big decision by the congregation of the leaders is about to be made, or whenever the religious speaker's microphone goes onto the pulpit. Everybody assumes that politicians and religious leaders are just big liars, but what if they are merely actually just not in control of their own minds instead?

Something as simple as beaming down the thought "yeah" or "nay" at the opportune time at the congress buildings could drastically alter the outcome of legislation in almost any democratic country.
