Should American Paratrooper be sent back to face discipline for Desertion

I thought there were two guys that had deserted. What happened to the second guy?

As far as this guy, he is guilty of desertion, no matter how many cute pictures of his family he pulls out of his wallet. One of the things that make the military so effective is discipline, and following rules. Throw that out the window, and all you have left is a pick-up softball team.

Now don't start with the "illegal commands" argument. That isn't under discussion here.

He joined the military, and if he is truly concerned about his family's welfare, he should contribute to their security by honoring the contract he signed when he joined up.
