If you don’t like "real housewives of Atlanta", turn the TV off, don’t detonate an ANFO next to a synagogue/church/shopping mall. And whats with the whole “i'll take my chances in hell instead of having western influences come and turn it into hell” … you live in Maryland idiot! If you find western influence to be so oppressive, why aren’t you on a slow boat back to dur-durkistan or wherever you are from?

I don’t think anyone is mixing up Islam from news accounts … if anything the news is overly sympathetic due to its ingrained political correctness. I know lots of Muslims, I was in Iraq for 15 months and met many wonderful people, salt of the earth folks …. but unfortunately I met a disproportionally large number of “not so nice” Muslims, true dogmatic psychopaths who committed some of the most unspeakable acts upon other human beings that I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. It’s the kind of stuff that gives decent people like me nightmares but fills the internet with jihad porn for the faithful.

Why is the topic placed under "Middle East" issues?

Shouldn't it placed under "Relgious" issues?

1) Nuns are not all women. They are female priests. Hijab is mandatory for all women in islam.

False. I know plenty of Muslim girls who are well versed in the Qu'ran yet don't wear Hijab, even though they have huge Muslim families, nobody seems to beat them senseless because of their choice of clothing etc.

I'm yet to meet these Muslims the media talks about, maybe I'm just lucky?

Well, I think most have adjusted quite well and have become well integrated into the US … its remarkable what spending a few years outside of their completely dysfunctional home countries did for them. I take no liberties in my depiction of predominantly Muslim countries. They are quite backwards and repressive and the more fundamentalist the nation and the more dominant Islam is, the more backward and repressive they become.

Oh no! I’m an ignorant racist! Whatever shall I do! I feel so ashamed!

mike have u ever been to a predominately muslim country? EDIT: nevermind just read ur last post.

why did u tell me to go back to duh durkistan? if u knew im from Maryland. whats with the personal attacks it just makes u look less credible

my housewives of atlanta line meant that they see these images of americans and they must think they're all like that. thats what drives them nuts. same way half of ATS is driven nuts by americans.

this is also analagous to the muslims we see on our media and make judgements about

mike ur a smart dude, stop talkin crap about individuals posting there opinion is just as good as urs

Oh ! Allow me Danny. Yes Mike you are indeed ignorant, and insulting. As well as any other terms that are appropriate to your last overt display. I know all about addressing the message and not attacking the messenger ( My bad ) Actually it is the very first/second time I have allowed my emotions to sway my reply . "Islamic apologist " set the tone. This is simply a very emotionally charged issue for me. Hence I will bid you ado. I apologize to all for my lapse in judgement.

I mean the entire thing was a trap.

And I don't like people who post links to obvious twaddle, even if it tickles their agenda.

If you can't ask properly, don't bother.

I hate these kind of lists...my comments from 1 to 9:

1)- A nun usually does this in a (church) community focused on devotion to God. A muslim woman walks around in my street as if it were 'her community' and I have to be carefull not to offend her or her husband in any which way.

2)- First of all...who says that the entire society respects a western woman when she stays home to take care of a kid? Second...most western woman are with a man of their choice and most muslim woman are with a man from an arranged marriage. So the kids they have are in fact also 'arranged', seems like a little oppression to me.

3)-
My opinion is that religion (in whatever form) should stay out of classrooms. Girls that walk around like they are Lady GaGa in school should also stay out. So both type of girls should act differently...but when it involves a religion suddenly this is something to talk about?

Also...when a western girl moves to/or is born in an arabic country and goes to school there...she has to wear a Hijab! So the Hijab wearing girl in this example should actually...get my picture?

4)- When a child at the age of 4 or 5 (like the kids in the picture?) starts reading a Koran...I would be more worried then when it starts messing around with clay. But maybe that's me.
Also...the only reason a kid of this age is reading a Koran (or Bible for that matter) must come from it's parents. Otherwise why would he be so interested in specifically a Koran or Bible? Silly...just like little girls wearing a Hijab...they don't even know why they are wearing them...?!

So in short: dedicating yourself to a religion at the ages from this example should worry any parent! And in this example it even looks like it is bad to 'not dedicate yourself to religion'...Please kids just play!

5)- What is happening to the Palestinians in general is terrible and cannot be ignored. But comparing 'every person that sacrifices him or herself' to 'the Palestinians'...Please. So...I better not sacrifice myself otherwise I am being a hypocrite, because I cannot save the palestinians? Or am I reading this wrong?

6)- It seems to me that this is only the case in western countries...but who am I?

7)- In this example a little boy is holding a Koran and says he has the solution. I don't get it. First: what is the trouble at hand? Second: If the solution is in the Koran (or Bible for that matter)...why do we have this trouble in the first place? These books are so old. The Koran and the Bible (to name just the 2 most known rulebooks), shouldn't we all be peacefull and loving by now? Without any trouble? But no, so let's try again! Grab a old book for a solution!

I rather see people think about a solution instead of grabbing some old book and hope the solution is in there somewhere. Haven't we passed this chapter?

8)- Aarrgh...comparing a car to a book!? My guess is that a car cannot put as many crazy ideas in your head as a book (but I am not sure on this)...and for a car at least you need a liscense. So in the end actually not the person who crashes the car is responsible, but the institute that gave the liscense to this person (but that is my thought on this) :worried:

And in this example I do blame the car. It is 2011?! We should have cars that cannot crash! Like in 'Minority Report' or so...

9)- Why should I care about Islamic laws? Goddammit! I live in a western country!
And why should I care about what newspapers say? Really...

It's like:"My doctor is a healthy man so how can he possibly help me? He is healthy so he doesn't understand what I am going through".

-------------------------------
My 9 responses to a little silly list of crap which made me a bit furious.
