Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has been accused of siphoning off up to $9bn of his country's funds and placing it in foreign accounts, according to leaked US diplomatic cables.
Diplomats quoted the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) as saying that much of the money may be stashed in London banks.
The allegations released by the Wikileaks website have been published by the Guardian newspaper.
Sudan has denied the claims.

This would be interesting if it proves to be true. The embezzlement can be added to the nations history including the genocide in the Darfur region. The information first appeared in wiki leeks. I do hope most people will not take information coming from wiki leeks at face value. The article goes on to say that the money is partly in banks in England, who have denied having accounts in the Sudanese Presidents name.
