Legal Help (Pro Bono?) PLEASE! I'm Desperate!

Ah. Very informative guys and gals! Thank you!

This morning I have been busy getting things together. I have gotten an attorney and he has already contacted them saying any communication must be with him now and not us.

We are suing for Threats / Intimidation / and Harassment. ALL of which are illegal in the state of Pennsylvania.

A value was also asked. What do I think suing him is worth? Consider Mental anguish ETC, the attorney asked. I said 25K-50k USD.

I hope I win. That's one thing for sure! Funny how all of the calls have CEASED today. Funny how that works as soon as you bust out the "big guns"...

Sounds lika ya got yerself in a pickle friend. I'm no lawyer but I'll tell ya this little trick: Tell the guy you got the money and that he should come over and pick it up. When he shows up at your house tell him real angry like -- "Listen smart guy if you ever bother me and my bride about this freaking money you"ll be cruisin for a brusin! And ya can forget about the 500, bub ya aint' getting it. Now get outta here, birdbrain.'

Yay! So very happy to hear that! Go for it! get what you can! I bet they don't treat people like that again. Listen to your lawyer. He will know how much is possible to get out of them. They need to be taught a lesson!!!!

Many states and counties have a Legal Services agency.
In Nevada, It's called Nevada legal services, and in our county it Washoe County Legal services.

They usually don't work from government money.
But from something called IOLTA
This describes how IOLTA works:

Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) is a unique and innovative way to increase access to justice for individuals and families living in poverty and to improve our justice system. Without taxing the public, and at no cost to lawyers or their clients, interest from lawyer trust accounts is pooled to provide civil legal aid to the poor and support improvements to the justice system

So pooled money from small trust accounts. Generates interest money...

Many lawyers sign up for a certain number of hours of Pro-Bono work each year.
It makes them look good in the community.

Look for a Legal aid, or Legal services agency in your county or state...You can do it.

I will be updating this post further, or creating a new one, once I get a verdict handed down. They seem confident we can have the resolved OUT of court. That would be great!
