US Pressures Amazon Into Kicking Wikileaks Off Its Cloud

And so the Wikileaks saga continues - with politics once again crossing with the technology side of things. After several DDoS attacks on Wikileaks' website, the organisation decided to move their website over to Amazon's cloud service yesterday. Today, Amazon kicked Wikileaks out of its cloud after being pressured by US Congress.

More pressure from the US Government to expand its control into the private sector and force its hand into internet affairs. Amazon is just the beginning, the US has already try to force foreign run sites to close (thepiratebay.org), if this continues we will end up with web restrictions like China. The government will tell companies who they can / can't partner with.
