I need some help with yt upload issue pretty please

Hi folks,

So I have this video I recorded that I am trying to upload to youtube.

The video extension is .mov which I believe is compatible with yt.
The video is about 9:30 minutes and the file is about 380mb.
I am on mac latest os x using safari browser.

I log on to yt, I press upload, the meter starts clicking up to somewhere between 14-17% and then just stops.
Not only it stops but it freezes the browser and eventually the whole operating system.
I've been on macs for ten years and this is the first time ever that an application has frozen the os.

I've had to hard reboot 4 times now.

Any ideas or suggestions as to what the issue is and how I can resolve it?

I appreciate any help.

Sounds like a net connection issue maybe? however, perhaps there is a slight corruption in the video
try to convert it to a different format (.flv) and see if that fixes the problem

Ok, I got myself vlf converter, converted the file and it is uploading on yt as we speak.
