Dave there is a minimum safety distance with blanks as they can cut chunks out of your skin and blind you. I remember standing next to a guy who had a negligent discharge that cut right through his clothes to his skin.

Also, some automatic gas operated weapons need a blank firing attatchment to enable automatic shots.

You are right about the percussion caps though, all it takes is a tap from a firing pin to set of a round.

But do not fool yourself into thinking blanks have no danger.

Correct!

As I recall, actor John Eric Hexum was fooling around with a gun with blanks in it; he put it to his fool head and pulled the trigger, causing a lethal blunt-force trauma. Six days later he died of the injury.

Had a quick look at the videos. They do look impressive. I live in the UK so we do not have metal detectors at schools and things (maybe a few). Think of the implications, the TSA if they saw this would be having a field day. Pat downs for everyone where ever there is a metal detector in place. Will look at other vids on his account.
What is next a paper detector and you have to go through the scan while in twister (the game) like positions

Damn its getting late
Anyway take care thanks for the videos Regards

you could make a gun that cannot be seen by metal detector, except you cant have an effective explosive to propel the bullet. i don't believe that you would have to worry about burning the paper with the burning powder, because the chamber could have fiberglas or some other material that cannot be destroyed by the combustion.

Asswipe click at these links and you will see why that paper makes the clacking noise. The thinnest superglue i know is blue spot super glue and you can only get it in the UK. This is what that guy uses for the gun that he made(not the same person that made the ak, a different person). Anyways the thinner the glue is, the more it will soak through the fibers of the paper the more harder it will get so basically you supergluing sheets of white printer paper to make hard paper. Anyways heres the 2 links since your dumb. www.youtube.com... and www.youtube.com...

That it can handle the several thousand psi, when a bullet is creating a closed space with in the fire arms barrel.

No bullet, no pressure build up. Cap that barrel with a slug and boom it's a pipe bomb if it isn't built correctly.

Notice how in a few of the videos he's mentioned how the ammunition is basically ammo he made himself. IE, cut down casings from larger rounds he put his own unique slug size in. I'm guessing he is doing this so that some jack ass doesn't get a hold of his AK and throw a real round in it and kill themselves.

I'm not trying to shadow this in any way. He certainly is talented, but he isn't building guns to shoot live ammo, he's building guns to shoot his own ammo.

The law of FECES applies on this one folks. Don't get too excited, it is just a drill. The poo flinging is more widespread than NASA had estimated. The alien poo is so smelly!

The world rock paper scissors champion. It looks like he uses some kind of highly compressed and glued papier mache.
