Fluorographene: The Teflon alternative and more

Came across another video about this on Reuters but was unable to link it properly...was not able to locate any threads maybe I could have looked harder...I'm sure someone here will(lol).

More than just a possible replacement to Teflon this material also has semiconducting properties making it suitable for use in electronics and perhaps an alternative to silicon. It is reportedly stronger than diamonds while also being malleable.

I only care because it could be used for the space program. Just thought I'd share.

Hi all.

That is fantastic. If it is as much "unsticky" as teflon is, is very hard, and
if it is tough against heat, THAT would be a VERY good teflon replacement !
We know how plastic/teflon and heat are incompatible. . .

Blue skies.
