Briton booked for speeding in London and New Zealand by same policeman

When the driver was ticketed in the South Island of New Zealand he recognised Constable Andy Flitton as the officer who had booked him on the A5 in north London two years ago.

Constable Flitton, who was with the Metropolitan Police for 26 years, has since emigrated to New Zealand and is based at Rangiora, near Christchurch.

On being pulled over, the errant driver produced British and South African licences and told Constable Flitton he had also recently emigrated after living in Britain for the past 12 years.

Talk about a bad case of déjà vu as this hapless motorist with a heavy foot got pulled over in New Zealand for speeding and looks up to see the same constable who gave him his last speeding ticket in London England two years before.

ATS members are the more conspiratorial side might say this is a glitch in the matrix, while the motorist himself was questioning just how long the long arm of the law really is.

Either way a pretty cute if not costly story about how small our really big world can be sometimes, I know I have my own stories of running unexpectedly into familiar faces from back home, far, far away from it.

Glitch in the matrix? Sounds like this motorist forgot the first rule about seeing an Agent...RUN!

Seriously though, this is just one bad case of coincidence. I cant imagine what I would think if this happened to me, or even if I would recognize the officer.

Thinking about it I cant remember anything about the last officer to cite me.

Not so much running into someone, my story is from when in the States in the early 90s. A convenience store owner recognised our accents as Kiwi. Further he picked our dialect as from a specific town in NZ. He asked which high school we went to and told us that he was a cousin of Mr X who owned X dairy (convenience store) across the road from the school. SPOOKY.

It's TPTB trying to siphon the life out of and take unfair advantage of an innocent person.
The system is world wide and there's no escape from the web.


It's just coincidence... no such thing as synchronicity.
