Weird button problem, probably related to advertisment placement.

On certain pages that displays an advertisement at the top, whenever i want to click the top buttons, they run and hide to the left of the advertisement. Now ofcourse they can't hide from me forever, but it is kinda annoying.

Is it only me, or do others experience the same problem?

I am having the same problem, and I am on a 2 month old high end gaming machine. I don't think my P.C. is the problem. However I am using Firefox, which could be the problem.

I have been having the same problem on random pages here today. I am getting tired of chasing that recent post button across the screen.

BTW- I have an old POS Dell.

I had that problem twice last night and I use firefox. First time, I shut firefox down and restarted it. Problem fixed. Second time, I hit reload. Problem fixed. It might be a bug in firefox. I've been having a lot of problems with it lately.

Have noticed this for about a week and a half.. kinda fun, like a little "chase the buttons game". Its caused by the placement of the ad. I don't know if it is a Programmed In thing or what. I don't mind it tho.

This was happening to me this morning. It's fine now. I kept logging myself out on accident lol

Same here.

By the way, I like the advertisement in your screenshot.

"Conquer the World!" Sounds like a subliminal message from the illuminate to TPTB hidden in a game.

No problem here.
I am using Google Chrome.
Firefox users should really try Chrome if you have not yet. It's really great with all the same add-ons plus it is faster.

Which version are you using? You might need to update.

Or it could be because I also don't see many ads.

version 8.0.552.215.

Yeah, I don't have any adblockers on.

I had this prob when i entered abovetopsecret.com and was about to enter the 'recent posts' link. The link suddenly moved itself to topleft as in OPs picture. Once I could click it from the link that had moved to topleft, and succesfully got entered to the recentposts page, the top links started to work again and the problem was(is) gone.

Yeah, I don't have any adblockers on.

If you decide to use one, I highly recommend Adthwart for Chrome. It Blocks ads using the Firefox AdBlock Plus filter engine.

It happens to me too, using internet explorer. It's rare though, maybe 3 times in the past week, I think it has to do with the particular ad.

Same issue for me as well. Noticed it when trying to click on myATS. Today was the first time I had noticed it and was just blaming it on the Google ad until I saw this thread. I am using Safari on a Mac.

You agreed to not use adblockers when you agreed to the terms.

It was fun chasing the buttons around, but its getting irritating now.
