Well, my first instinct right now is to disbelieve the story. Am I the only one that thinks, hey.. maybe this is an FBI house where they are training guys so they can arrest them. Or, perhaps one of the agencies planted this house full of explosive materials as just another psyops reinforcement.

"Terrorists" can be anywhere or anyone. They might even be your neighbor!! Be afraid and give us your remaining freedom!

Also, why do they need to "burn down" the home? That has got to be for show. If this "culprit" could bring in all the stuff and make it, then why can't they just bring it out? Afraid the public might see what's going on? Sure, it's a great idea to burn down a home full of UNKNOWN materials in the middle of a populated neighborhood.

This isn't some rinky-dink operation!

I suppose the bomb-disposal experts just felt it was too dangerous trying to get all the explosives out. They can't use robots because of all the junk in the house. And does anyone really want to die risking their life evacuating these explosives? I don't want to see anyone get killed unnecessarily so I'm OK with it after reading the story, though I was unsure before I read the story.

I'd still like to know 2 things:
1. What were his motivations? and
2. How did he manage to get his hand on so much explosives?

There must be an answer in there somewhere and it may not be the same conspiracy as the one you suggest but something seems wrong with this picture.

Will they make good on peoples homes if something goes wrong and they level the whole neighborhood? What will they do if they end up with a half mile crater and the heighborhood blown off the map? OPPS!! sorry we blow your house up, have a nice day. When the people leave they had better take as much as they can cause they may not have anything to come back to. All I know is I would not want to be within 5 miles of that place. If it does blow I hope someone gets it on tape

My guess is the worst that would happen is some explosion blows some bath fixtures like a commode up into the air and it comes crashing down through the roof of a nearby house...so it might damage it but it won't destroy it. That's why they're evacuating though, it sounds like it's enough.

I imagine they will have cameras running, maybe the news will show us some footage.

They said that they inventoried the materials but thought it too dangerous to remove them. My guess is that they are afraid of booby traps and don't want anyone hurt or killed. The bomber was apparently making masks and hand grenades and had a police department uniform shirt. Maybe he planned to go out with a bang and get even with the world in in a personal Armageddon.

What BS.

They could have seize the home under Federal Asset Seizure statute and had the illegal aliens clean the house out so it could be sold.

I know someone cleaning foreclosed homes out in California right now...business is GOOD.

By destroying the house somebody is losing hundreds of thousands of dollars from reselling the home.

FYI...

They are supposed to light it up in a few minutes, there is now TV coverage....
