Are puppy pee pads available around you anywhere? If not, they're available over the internet, if you want to have an easier mess to clean up. I haven't tried them, but I'm thinking of it for my Shihtzu. Right now he keeps peeing next to the kitty litter box. He has a point, since the cat goes there, and they are the same size...
A dog moves its bowels after it eats.
It goes in one end and shortly after comes out the other end.

Weirdly enough, I have 1 dog, out of the 3, that wants outside to poop right before she eats. Like she's emptying out, and making room for food. Then she doesn't go for hours, or until before her next meal. You have to observe when the dog wants to go, in relation to the food that gets eaten, but yes, The olddude is right, most will go shortly after eating.
Feed her and then walk her she will probably do her business while outside.
And get ready to grab the dog to take back outside if circling/squatting for a poop.
Once the dog poops outside, remember to shower the dog with praise. Positive training works the best.edit on 6-12-2010 by snowspirit because: because I'm stuck in a box and can't get out
