I've been reading ATS for ages as a non poster (until recently) but I must say the amount of idiotic topics has gone through the roof over the last couple of months. This one takes the biscuit not just because it's ludicrous but because this Michael chap is actually blaming someone else for not passing on his 'message' instead of doing it himself.

I mean seriously. Who in their right mind would tell the world about a 'prophecy' they received from some random guy they've never even met? I'm willing to bet my house Michael here wouldn't do the same either if the roles were reversed.

Mr. Michael - Go outside, get a beer, get laid

That is all

Michael, are you proclaiming to be a prophet?
If so prophecy that is given to a prophet is something that God wants revealed, not kept secret.
False prophets also speak prophecy, but if it is not in accordance with god's word it is nothing more than Satan's attempt to deceive.

Deuteronomy 18:20-22----
When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken, the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

Curious?

And, if you were to read the Prophecy, the meaning of this particular note would become clear.

Mi cha el

But of course, he wont let you read the prophesy. That is the best line I have heard since Pelosi's "We have to pass the bill to find out what is in it" . Like something from Joseph Heller.

Surely Mi cha el can't be serious, with all this nonsense... And if he is, he needs a straight jacket. Maybe some Lithium.

If you faxed this to wikileaks then you must still have it so why not just post it online, here and now on ATS? Go to an internet cafe, create a new email address there with an assumed name, create a new ATS account and post this stuff. There would be no proof it was you and we would have it. Just make sure to pick an internet cafe without cameras and that accepts cash payment, easy to find such places.

If you are really worried even after this i can easily tell you how to set up a digital drop box, or maybe even a real life drop box could be set up and you just drop a dvd with the information, or you could use multiple remailing services and protect yourself that way, again paying cash.

There are tons of ways of keeping yourself anonymous, there is no reason for you to not release this data you claim you have so basically i don't believe you.

Lol, it sounds like a joke to me. I don't think he is serious.

12 pages of people begging this guy to release his prophecy?

If he's an attention hound (a given - I don't see a prophecy here anywhere!) then I'd have to say "mission accomplished."

Sniff... sniff....

Anyone else smell that BS?

I too got a world shattering prophecy 30 years ago. A real biggie. Bells, whistles, fireworks, the whole nine yards. I think there were even leprechauns and unicorns in it.Been spreading it far and wide to anyone who would listen ever since. Devoted every waking minute of the last 30 years to spreading it. It's my whole life. I got up this morning, looked around, and said "ah, what the hell. let 'em all burn. I'm goin' out for a coffee instead". If you'd have got to me yesterday, you could've had it, but today? Pfffft.

Edit to add to OP: No, I'm not going to track down any second hand reports of this "prophecy" from third party sources. You claim it was given to YOU, they didn't claim it was given to them. Had you been given a prophecy, it would be YOUR responsibility to publish it, not theirs. None of the Prophets ever said "meh, it isn't my job. I've got it, but someone else can deal with distribution. I ain't doin' it, and the deity can just go pound salt" Well, One did, Jonah, and we see how THAT turned out.

And this?:

Which is precisely why I am not going to publish the Prophecies here, among a number of other quite important reasons.

This is not what is done with genuine Prophecies.

Priceless!

Yeah, that kinda really IS what's done with them. That's WHY they're given, actually. They're not given so you can have a ticket to Top Sekrit High and Mighty Mucky Muck Meetings. A "warning to the world" isn't a warning to some storefront religious outfit in Pasadena or wherever. If it's specific to them, they're the ones that get it.

Does your prophecy have anything to do with the mis-interpretation of religion, and it's use over the last thousand years as a form of control, and tool of war?

I have occasionally stopped in to see what Mr. Cecil is currently up to, and it's always the same old thing.

"Who is like unto God!" This is what the Hebrew words "Mi cha el" mean. While the Archangel used this as his battle-cry when rallying the good angels in the war in Heaven (that resulted in Lucifer's expulsion), Cecil's first name is literally a boast, if you take it that way. Don't worry, he will deny it now, because I put it a bit too bluntly.

But I'm not done being blunt, maybe it's what's needed. Is it his fault that he has such delusions of grandeur?

Possibly not. Cecil is a product of centuries of inbreeding. I personally do not think this is a good thing, but it is not his fault. But if you would like a solid reason for the massive arrogance, it could be a clue.

He is descended from English aristocracy, and I have called him on it before, although his denial of this fact was carefully worded, and potentially "true", from a legalistic standpoint. You see, the medieval rules of titles coming down within the noble clans are not well appreciated today. The eldest brother may get most of the glory you know. As it is, someone the average person might see as "directly" descended as can be, might get "skipped", upon the death of the titled person. Does this mean that the person in question is a mere "commoner" (like the rest of us "squidles")? Hardly, and I'm pretty sure that Cecil's true colors are coming through, loud and clear, I have never suspected for a moment, from the things he has written, that he considers himself a commoner in any way.

Anyway, Michael Cecil, sadly, was the middle generation that got "skipped", and the important titles went to his children. I hope that didn't result in a "sour grapes" sort of thing...probably not.

But he was still even luckier than that! OK, being born with a silver spoon in your mouth may not be as wonderful as people imagine, but then! The cult that his father began gained literally thousands of followers! Sure, there were internal tensions and what not, the big move to Oregon, but the Son pretty much inherited his father's "mantle" we might say, at least in their hybrid New Age "spiritual" dynasty. Maybe that made up, at least partly, for being cheated out of the more important one.

By the way, the Cecil's aren't just "second tier", mere baronies bestowed upon relatively recent upstarts. Not at all. It's a matter of historical record. Their main ancestral "home" is literally a castle, and is considered perhaps THEE most fabulous of any in Britain, even causing the Windsors a small pang of envy.

Context is very important, as Cecil likes to remind us all.

Putting it all together. Well, Cecil does believe he is the apostle of reincarnation (yes, I know, he'll dress it up a bit different, and complain that it's not "exactly" run-of-the-mill reincarnation, rather, it's the "real" Doctrine of the "resurrection", subverted by the whole world, etc.)

SO, it shouldn't be too much of a shock to learn that he has identified himself as the reincarnated ABRAHAM in the past. I realize his stories change, but it is actually not unusual at all for believers in reincarnation to imagine that they "are" some famous person from the past. No one it seems wants to consider being the humble milk-maid, it's always Jesus, or Napoleon, or Cleopatra. So, he's Abraham.

And he's got a message. Would we really expect that the "new Abraham" would not have a message? Consider that Abraham is the "father" of all three of the world's big religions, all of which Cecil (and his father before him) integrated into a New Age theology accounting for them all.

I would never want to make an assumption too grand, for another person, but Cecil has literally put himself up on a rather high pedestal.

"Who is like unto God!" Who am I to say he's not?

Well, considering this is likely to be "antichrist's" motto as well, and considering also that many have said that the "antichrist" is almost certain to come from nobility, where exactly does that leave Mr. Cecil?

I guess I should leave any more speculation to the many able ATS folk, who already seem to have this "gentleman's" number.

JR

PS: Mr. Cecil, I'm agnostic myself, I don't really believe you or your family is, or will be an "antichrist"! But don't be surprised if some of the more religious folk start seeing shades of "blasphemy" in the subtle way of your words...

I have met a lot of people from Ashland and at least half of them want to charge me some money for important spiritual advice, healing, or advancement. It disgusts me.

On edit: the Doctrine of Mental Reservation is quite acutely studied in those parts.

Yeah, I completely agree.

I have a cousin who came into contact with Ashland, through some "cross-fertilization" that took place some years back, with the Elizabeth Claire Prophet group.

Thankfully, he didn't linger too long, and could see way too many problems with "the people" (as he put it), while later figuring out that some of the beliefs were pretty screwy as well.

But not everyone figures it out, and there are still lots of people out there it seems that have been influenced by these new hybrid religious notions. I suppose there should be nothing wrong with "new" ideas, except that they don't seem to bring anything to the table that addresses problems of religion in general. But, I'm agnostic, perhaps if I had "faith"...
