Every American should watch this....

www.youtube.com

I have to warn you in advance…

If you are a Democrat, you may find certain elements of the following presentation offensive.

The same goes if you are a Republican… or even a member of the Tea Party.

You see, my colleague Porter Stansberry has recently made a pretty outlandish prediction.

Normally, I’d dismiss this type of thing immediately.

But so many of Porter's "whacky" predictions have come true in recent years... the fall of GM, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, General Growth Properties (America's biggest mall owner), just to name a few.

What's interesting is th

Porter Stansberry (a professional investment researcher) offers a detailed presentation regarding what he believes to be a catastrophic event that is about to hit America. A major collapse of your national monetary system which will of course lead to massive changes to everyday life.

During this preach he exposes the problems, shows his sources and offers solutions.

Would be great to hear what the magnificent members of ATS think about this....?

A brilliant and extremely important piece of work in my opinion. Please pass it along to family and friends. Peace and Love

PS. Mods please move if necessary, wouldn't let me post in general news for some reason. Thanks

So many people are warning of an economic collapse here in America and to be frank, it becomes obvious to anyone who takes a little time to look into things. Our system is unsustainable. We spend too much and don't make nearly enough to cover costs. We outsource our jobs and at the same time, have huge trade deficits.

To go further, our whole debt-based currency is a farce. It is completey unecessary and serves only to benefit those who run it. How do we ever expect to get out of debt, when the money that we use to pay off that debt, incurrs debt in of itself? That's right, there is debt attached to every single dollar issued. Generally, this debt is supposed to be paid off with our labor through the income tax system. If you notice, the income tax system was established when the Federal Reserve was established back in 1913, creating our debt-based currency.

However, the real problem with that, is that we no longer have the ability to pay on this debt with our labor, as our jobs are being sent over-seas, where people will work for much less. If our jobs aren't going over-seas, then they are taken by illegal immigrants or foreign workers with work visas, who in turn work for much less and often don't pay taxes.

The only thing that has prevented a collapse of our economy so far, is that our currency is the international standard for commodities. This is the only thing that now makes our currency worth anything, relatively and generally speaking. Without that, our money wouldn;t be worth anything.

To top it off, our government is spending more and more, in what is apparently an effort to enrich their friends or the corporations who hold influence, ultimately driving us more into debt. What is happening, is that we are all being robbed blind and when our economy does collapse, it is going to be us holding the bag, while these criminals will be pointing and laughing. All of their ill-gotten gains will be safe, as they are converted into commodities or assets that aren't vulnerable. They have pretty much destroyed our economy and now it is just a huge house of cards, ready to implode. There seems to be a frenzy to lick our bones clean before it does completely collapse.

Sadly, their benefits are at our expense and it is us who will be holding the bag when the piper comes for payment. Guess what... We can already hear the piper playing his tune.

It really doesn't take an economist to see that our system is fundamentally flawed. You can't spend through the nose, while shipping jobs over-seas and destroying the middle class, all the while suffering to a debt based monetary system, and think that this is somehow sustainable.

As far as this video and the guy in it, I'm affraid he is simply trying to get business. There are a lot of these people who have newsletters, suggesting where to invest. He certainly isn't the first and he won't be the last. While this guy may be correct in his research, it surely doesn't mean that the reader should trust his investment advice. As is the general rule, be very careful of who you take financial advice from. I can guarantee that this guy isn't telling you where to invest because he is concerned with your financial well-being.

Good Post: Very interesting !! It is a view of an individual that has done extensive research in this field. There are going to be people that mock it and there will be some agreeing. Having an interest and knowledge in world economy issues i would be careful not thinking about how secure you actually are in life. Yes some say go to hell and thats ok... Have you got some sort of insurance like House, Contents, Life, Car, Medical yadda yadda well most have insurance because we are paranoid that something may happen... Folks there is going to be an event very soon ! you will wake up one morning and go OMG ! how did this happen ? Collapse of the world financial struture !! Insure your self by preparing !! Good Luck !

What I think is pretty simple.... for $49.50 Stansberry's Investments will give you it's weekly newsletter and it's thoughts on the 4 investments you can not be without.

Following the link provided in the OP, I attempted to listen to the entire presentation and quickly found that only 4-8 were available. I found that odd so did an google search for the last 4 parts. I found them, I listened to them. If you would like to listen to the final part, feel free. The previous 7 parts build up to the final sales pitch for this investment firm.

While I agree with Airspoon completely, and I do not dispute the the history lesson provided in the videos (which if you have not heard the entire presentation I would recommend it) this message is coming from someone who just may be using fear to make some sales. A lot of people are worried about the economy and rightly so, that also leaves plenty of room for others to make a buck now.

I would not say that is accurate. Gas prices generally have been what they are now at this time of year, maybe even a little higher. Keeping gas stable now means people have more to spend during the holiday season, which also looks great on the consumer spending reports which come out in January. The price of everything goes up right after Black Friday and remains so during the holiday season. Retailers are looking to take advantage of the "season of giving" and make bigger profits. You will see reduced prices again right after Christmas. Believe it or not, this is standard and always has been. Maybe you are just now noticing it.

The remaining videos are online and may be found by searching using the same title as the other videos. Just substitute 1/8, 2/8 etc with 5/8, 6/8, 7/8 and 8/8. I've watched them all. He offers his newsletter and book at NO CHARGE. This guy knows what he's talking about.

It's all in the follow through...

The MSM has reported nationally on the local use of alternative currencies in various cities and towns. I live in Michigan and have heard of the town referred to and it's use of an alternative currency. It was reported on one of the local Detroit channels a few months back. Do a quick Google search and you'll find confirmation of this Michigan town's use of said currency as well as other town's and cities in other states doing the same. It's a local thing.

*Scroll down list of videos youll see one, click on that.

Seems pretty informative, but at the end he goes on a sales pitch. If you listen closely to all 8 video's he reiterates over and over about his research and reports and how good they are...

Would love to read some of those reports listed but no link popped up after it was over

Starting to think they dont exist and that was all a viral video. Anyone know where you can get the "FREE" resources he mentioned ? Only thing I saw on the website was a subscription for $99

Scamer or real deal ?

I largely agree with your take this whole fiasco. One thing I've recently been pondering is what would happen if we simply erased all debt and rebooted the system. We've at the very least learned that if we're going to run a fractional reserve system we have to make sure the interest component is somehow inserted back in to the economy. This way the person can actually pay off the debt component of the loan. Otherwise it's just an obvious catch-22, dressed up as a more sophisticated form of "musical chairs," trying to recapture the outgoing principal and interest needed to repay the bank before the music stops playing.

First off, id like to say, Great Find!

There were some really important points in the clip. I can agree on alot of it and could see how such a thing could blow up into something really bad. I can also say that it wouldnt suprise me in the least. ..and wow! What a long clip! I caught myself wandering off a few times.

I had to poke at the credibility of it though.

Ive seen ads about law firms selling books on how to, but are they legit ads? I'm not trying to debunk them, but they do raise questions for me. Why would someone sell a book on how to avoid the money crash if they're going to be living through it just like we would be, and with all that worthless money. Sure, he could exchange it for other currency, gold perhaps. But if things are that horrible, it might be a blind man's dream.

Wether or not the law firm is a real thing, the info is usefull but dire to the point that there would be no hope for mankind no matter what we do at this point. DOOMED! Though, it is a bit of an oxymoron that a law firm would be giving up potentual life saving information to the world, ironicly at a cost, and more so still, handing the world it's last rights and charging for the consoltation.

Hey everyone, interesting comments so far, thank you.

Hey Airspoon, first off I must say, love your contributions concerning 9/11. An awesome post here also. I'm from New Zealand but can imagine that many will be speaking of economic collapse. The warning signs are definitely there and have been for decades really, some would even say centuries. It would seem that there is not much else to do besides prepare for the storm. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on this particular issue? Should the people just try to ride it out? Should they to flee the country? or should they attempt to strike back against the system?

Anyways, I by and large agree with your post, very well said. With regards to your last paragraph, how do you know he is just trying to get business? and how can you guarantee that Porter Stansberry isn't concerned about his fellow Americans financial well being? There is a sales pitch in there but he does mention how long he has spent preparing the presentation. Perhaps he is just continuing to prepare for when the proverbial $hit hits the fan and wants to help people along the way. In saying that, my knowledge of him is limited, will have to look into him further. Thanks again for the thoughtful post

Sleep time for me, will be back tomorrow to respond to the other awesome ATS members who posted.
Peace out

I set-up a reference thread on the subject HERE

It contains some pokes at the naive good at heart who unwittingly help those whose aim is to transfer your wealth (labor) into their pockets using "Social Welfare Programs" as a vehicle.

I do watch the thread but I set it up because I am lazy and got tired of re-posting the same information. Therefore continue the discussion here unless you have more reference material to add to the thread.

BerkShares do exist. There's even a website devoted to them.
www.berkshares.org...

Just had a thought...

If US taxes are paid in US dollars and based on income of US dollars then if you exchange goods and services in an alternative currency you should be able to avoid US income tax. I'm just presenting an idea. I don't know whether it's true or not.

I'm guessing that the IRS has already thought of this and placed rules in effect to keep people from using the idea.
