The US Air Force's secret unmanned space shuttle X-37B landed at 1:16 a.m. Pacific time on Friday, concluding its more than 220-day experimental test mission. It was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., on April 22.

I saw this reported on Aljazeera who said the 7 months were for spying?

I don't know much of this subject so need to do some research.... unless you can fill me in on what I have missed.

The X-37B is about 29 feet long with a wing span of about 15 feet and is a reusable robotic spacecraft. It is one-fifth the size of the space shuttle and can draw on the sun for electricity by unfolding its solar panels.

This was not big news . Its secret . No one will ever know or find out what this object was for . Unless ur part of the people who did the operation . case closed . but it was pretty to watch fly

How long before the secret data from this mission ends up on wikileaks?

If I'm not mistaken the russian cargo freighters to the mir space station were doing this all the time decades ago. Also their buran space shuttle was fully automatic

Anyone want to think that the X-37B mission had anything to do with this story?

I'm sure that was just another coincidence in space.

I think it very likely that this shuttle just may have been developed to seek out foreign countries satellites and probe them for signs of defense measures .

I can remember when this was launched back in April and all the attention it received here on ATS

The Russian rocket was reported to have veered off course. Mission Accomplished. If the US was using the X-37B to make that rocket fail, then this was certainly not a test. The US was probably just trying to set back the GPS satellite program that the Russians were trying to put upgrade.

Take THAT, Putin!


This technology - to make undetectable interference with orbital or ICBM missles - would be HUGE. But it's got to be used very carefully, or else the enemy will start to figure it out.
