The new Google Earth has a "button" to switch to street view. It turns out a 3rd party is creating the 3D models. Unfortunately the text wasn't saved, but you can create the same view yourself. At the moment, on the new hangar and one tank are in 3D.

I noticed the controls are not as hidden as they used to be, which I think is a feature.

VERY disappointed at the modelmaker...they could have slipped in a few pixel alien waving at us or something...the hell is wrong with these people...you spend time making the building, why not toss in a toungue in cheek bit also for what they are known for

Street View image?
Ive looked at hundreds of street view images on all of the online mapping programs.
This is not street view, its a computer generated image.

If there was a street view available for area 51, I'm sure Google woiuld have provided it rather than the 3D model. Basically the street view feature added to google earth by dragging an icon to the area in question. On GE rather than google maps.
