My avatar changes with my mood and interests (or sometimes the holiday).
At the time this was posted, it is an astronaut floating in space, holding up a FOR SALE sign. This reflects my current disgust at the state of our
space-faring efforts. We should have had a base on the moon by now, and manned missions to Mars, etc. We landed on the moon DECADES ago people!
With the retirement of the Shuttle fleet, I just really have to wonder why we, the space leaders, will be hitching rides on older, less-safe, and
often tech-inferior Russian space vehicles.
My hopes now lie only with the private sector, and their race for space. Will be some time still though, but I think we'll see a real private space
effort in my lifetime.
