I believe this is a step in right direction. Ecuador FM stated

"We are ready to give him residence in Ecuador, with no problems and no conditions," Deputy Foreign Minister Kintto Lucas told the Internet site Ecuadorinmediato.

"We are going to invite him to come to Ecuador so he can freely present the information he possesses and all the documentation, not just over the Internet but in a variety of public forums," he said.

While the democracy, freedom to disclose dirty secrets of governments is being labeled as "terrorist act" by western media, politicians and governments, a third world country is doing what the western governments should be doing.

As I said in another post our Australian Goverment would probably hand him over to the US goverment if he stayed here anyway. Goes to show how easily the US gets coorporation (read obedience) from the Australian Goverment.

Nobody has any thoughts on U.S. Espionage in Equador at the SAME time that Equador is offering "safe" haven for Julian?? Julian goes to Equador, and then Kaboom "insert assination scenario." I think it's a James Bond type of situation, lol.. Get Julian to Equador and license to kill..

Assange is the Wikileaks spokesperson. Assassinating him wouldn't do anything, there's too many people involved. And even if they take it down, a new organization will just take its place...welcome to the 21st century, the INFORMATION AGE!

The Internet makes it super easy to distribute data in a way where no one can stop you...that is, unless you can switch of the Internet, lol. Even China with its draconian firewall can't stop dissidents from posting information...

In case, it is true that Ecuador offer Assange residence.....I see that Ecuador could be the next "Iraq" .... terrorist or no terrorist...it is going down along with Assange.
