In the jest to show Obama in a bad light again Fox News copied a article from the Onion which is known for it's satire and presented it as truth to their readers. What the Fox News did not do was inform it's readers it was a joke and the gullible readers of Fox took it as truth. More likely is they thought that their viewer base wouldn't be able to tell the difference. In other words, they really know their audience.

Screen-shot of the article with some comments from Fox News readers:

Link to the Onion article: Frustrated Obama Sends Nation Rambling 75,000-Word E-Mail

The article from Fox is now taken off but the damage is done by their idiocy. You won't see a retraction or apology posted either. They knew exactly what they were doing. It is a disgrace that Fox is allowed to dupe its citizens with disinformation like it currently does.

Oh dear... The heated comments below the article are hilarious too!

I love the Onion!

Off topic but does anyone know which Onion bit has the old lady who starts going crazy in the middle of a discussion and shouting "Get these spiders off me." I can't find it anywhere!

This is honestly a shame. I wonder how often the do stuff like that, post little snippets and start rumors. I knew a lot of people would believe it was real, but it's still depressing that Americans, especially the right wing apparently, are that stupid.

if this was really real

how would Obama get all of America's
e-mail addresses for the TO: section?

I just don't know, it does really sound
like a frustrated president and even
maybe like he had been drinking somewhat.

Even though it's made to look like satire,
I have my doubts.

LOL! Gotta love how TheOnion News Network is still unknown to many, and yet is perhaps the most credible news agency around.
