Greetings from Gaithersburg MD

Hi,

Just wanted to say that after going through some of the posts here I thought I would join you folks. Hopefully I can be a positive contributor, although I can be quite opinionated at times.

I am a retired U.S. Navy veteran and and now working as a Network Engineer for a government agency. My hobbies are ham radio (call of WI2T), fishing, canoeing, skiing, pretty much anything outdoors.

No, but....

Well...no.

Washington, DC is it's own entity. So it's not "in" any State. Maryland however did own the land that DC stands on. They sold it to the government for the creation of DC.
