Report: North Korea fires on South Korea, killing 1 and injuring 15

Seoul, South Korea (CNN) -- North Korea fired artillery toward its tense western sea border with South Korea on Tuesday, killing at least one South Korean soldier, the Yonhap news agency reported.
Two civilians and 13 other South Korean military personnel were injured, with three of the soldiers seriously hurt, Yonhap said.

Could this be the first shot fired in World War III? We already know that the North Koreans torpedoed a South Korean ship and now they are firing artillery onto South Korean territory with more death resulting.

These actions are far more provocative then anything Iraq did prior to the invasion. Will we once again merely scold North Korea and impose sanctions OR will we fight back?

I was an infantry soldier in in the eighties and early nineties; 11bravo(ooh-aahhh) and I can say from personal experience that body bags were coming out of the DMZ in Korea on a daily basis. We killed each other all the time. The war there has never ended it has just been kept private. The media was never allowed to report it. This may be a deliberate escalation but it is nothing new. It's just the time is right now for all hell to break loose.

What do you mean by "for all hell to break loose" ? World War 3?

Nostradamus predicted two things would happen before the onset of a final war

1) that a religious figure would be kidnapped - google pancha lama
2) that a comet would hit the waters between s.e. asia & australia, - possible cause for tsunami?

really though, a creative mind can reinterpret the quatrains to mean anything, but the kidnapping of a major religious figure always stayed with me.
