Scary.

Keep in mind, China has much to gain by a US/SK war with N Korea - with the US bogged down (again) it gives them more latitude to go after Taiwan, and to go after the resources surrounding disputed islands with Japan. It also makes war with Iran less likely - and they are critical as an oil supplier to China.

I believe it has now stopped but the fires are still raging on the island. S. Korea has just returned fire according to BBC. I may be a bit behind here though.

Anyone know if the area that was targeted by alleged shelling is a volcanic region? Looks more like volcanic than shelling? Plenty of smoke etc but where's the explosions? Also with the spate of mine explosions going on?
I haven't seen evidence of shelling, you?

Very good point, i have to agree with you

There is video of the shelling on AlJazeera, it's not a volcano, lots of coverage of this on all news sources.

I just wonder what real event has been blotted out of the news by this latest bit of yapping by the Koreas? Unless it escalates in the next couple of hours, I think that it will be buried just like the Cheonan incident.

The U.S. would not be "bogged down" if they concentrated on the war and
not the politics thereof. Finish the war, then worry about the politics. Like I
said, either we are at war or not there is no such thing as just being at war
a little bit. (That is why keep losing wars, we let politicians fight them
instead of the military).

From what I understand, the firing has stopped. NK reportedly shot around 200 shells, and SK returned fire with around 80 shells, and scrambled f-16's. Reportedly 1 SK marine killed, and others wounded. Al Jazeera is saying on their live-feed that most of the Norths shells landed on an SK military base.

Well folks, the war machine rolls on. This comes at a good time for the Obama administration. Nothing ends a recession quicker than a war.

I'm pleased its not just me thinking.
I'm sure this is volcanic and not shelling until I see 100% evidence of explosions. I'm not buying it at all.
We have everything going on right now and STILL we don't see!!!

Chemtrails blanketing the sky to stop us seeing what's very close.
Mine explosions.... Globally. How many? And exactly where?
Reports of hearing booms in US?
Cruise ship lost power last week?

I'm not going to sit here pointing out the obvious but its all here and I think the SHTF situation is here but is been dressed up as something else everytime.

Pretty bad, it's like DEFCON 1 = war.

But I think it's made up.

SKorea is officially at DEFCON 2, just before war.

If this is true, it's really really really bad.

ALERT: A North Korean naval fleet is moving toward South Korea, according to news agency MBC

I think this is 110% BS but eh.
