New Icons!!

Just wanted to say the New Icons look fabulous.

A little small but I'm sure we will all get used to them!

I'd love to know why those particular icons were chosen though, I mean the pictures themselves. They look different than the originals.

I love that ATS is an evolution that seems to constantly change, even down to the wee icons representing the forums. Good stuff. Keeps us olde pharts on our toes. There was a time that I didn't want anything to change, and considered such changes only within context of my own desires, and how I might have to change to utilize them. It's all good. I like it. Fresh!

I liked the old style with the reflection better.

Oh well.

I think they look great too, made me do a double take when I refreshed. A wee bit bigger would be a plus though.

Look at the little icons preceding the thead title on the Recent Posts page. There you will find them.

I really do not like the new icons to be honest.

I prefer the old ones, I can not see these new ones they are so damn tiny and the border around the icons are too thick. I can not make them out at all.

It took me a while getting use to the new website layout, but changing the OLD COOL ICONS to these new apparent iPhone friendly icons was a bad move.

I loved the old icons, its one of the thing that made ATS what it is.

Any chance the mods could review the icons and change them back to the old ones please?

I don't mind if we keep the new icons or go back to the old ones. It's not as if I'd notice

BUT, if there's going to be a poll, I vote to keep the new RATS icon. I did notice that one and I love it.

I agree with you - they're atrocious, especially the borders. I prefer rectangular icons with no borders. I don't remember what the previous ones looked like, but I don't recall them being as poorly designed as these.

Well the new icons are actually great imho ...

Some of us had been lamenting the loss of the color coded lettering for each forum that we used to have under the old layout which made it easy to spot one's favorite forums. A lot of the little icons we used to have before these were too similar to distinguish.

So this seems like a great compromise, for lack of a better word, which restores a way to clearly distinguish forums without reverting back to the old colored fonts. In fact in the short time they've been on I can already feel the difference when browsing the recent posts page and forum recognition is vastly improved.

sorry, not very well done.

The new ones remind me of Girl Scout badges, I have sewn enough on sashes to know what they look like.
