I took a couple of hours today to make an index of all the TSA oriented posts. I had read a post of another member asking if it was time to create a separate TSA forum. My search entailed threads started in six different ATS forums on this Government intrusion into our lives. I stopped after going back 3 index pages of these individual ATS forums. Every thread that I found today was started in November.

I had to use the search function to find the "Junk" references. I'm thinking it's the "don't touch my junk" shot that was heard around the world? Not very elegant I know, it's a bit like being stripped of your rights, fondled, allowing strangers to fondle your children, going to jail for your 93 year old mother's applesauce or getting a concussion for eye-contact solution? I do not believe that this will stop at the airport or other means of public transportation. Do you want to be randomly pulled from your cars at Toll Booths? The TSA is already targeting Ferry transports. Not a big leap to get there.

Anyway, at least read the headlines. I have read the OP of each and every one of these posts. I'm not hysterical yet, but I am really pissed off about what I have read today...

Give him some credit..
it's hard to find all this stuff because it isn't in a single forum.

Also, anyone who calls this a "fad topic" is in my opinion heading for rude awakening.
This is a serious issue that is encroaching our freedoms and can only get worse.

As if one day they won't be enforcing these procedures cause they have rid the world
of terrorists.

"remember that old fad where we were scanned, strip searched and violated.. Mmmm good times".

well I am still $#@$@$ in flames over this fresh outrage!!!

This new creation of security and scrutiny in the airport is so new I am beguiled and bewildered at the very concept. What has grown forth is this amazingly potent rage,,, but thank god the TV has convinced everyone
this is awful all at the same time! The media has saved us from this truly fresh outrage of disgust, I am so happy we will be delivered from this evil that we haven't endured for decades on one level or another!

You inspired me to do this, but I don't think there needs to be a separate forum for the TSA specifically. As insidious and ridiculous as they are, the TSA did not create themselves, nor did they fund themselves, nor did they sanction and protect themselves from their own processes they inflict on the average citizen. Also, the TSA are not the only ones chipping away our freedoms in the US. Maybe a new forum does need to be created. If it is, it should be named "Government Terrorism against it's own Citizenry." Or something like that.

I don't know how to put this, nor do I know how to compartmentalize the systematic erosion of our country's celebration of individuality. I'm searching hard for the terminology that will succinctly express the disgust that I'm feeling... It's like the Government is cannibalizing their constituency? Eroding our rights by displacing our dignity? I cannot tell you how many times that I have read that someone would prefer a bracelet or a chip, to an x-ray or a body grope. Excuse me? Since when did those items become our only choices?

I'm really upset by what I read through and posted in the OP list. If I left out a post. Please help by posting it in this thread. I thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding. I am more than Gobsmacked/flummoxed right about now.

I agree with you 100% that this will not stop with scanners and pat down searches at airports. The thing that scares me the most is too many people are all too eager to allow the government to infringe upon their rights when the government tells them it is for their own good or safety. We cannot ever let the government take away our rights, no matter what the reason. If we do, one day we will wake up, and we will no longer be a free people.

I'm glad to see my thread in there. I'm also glad this issue is going viral despite the fact that it is getting little attentipn via the main stream media.

So here's what I'm wondering, I know there is some mention of the issues with what the TSA is doing in the MSM but not nearly the amount of coverage that it should be getting. little attention is being given to the anti TSA and no fly movements. Why is that? My thought is becuse the government absolutely will not give up their new policies and toys. So the controlled MSM is not reporting on it because they are being told not to.

Why again? Because even though the TSA's procedures have been proven repeatedly to be virtually useless in stopping terrorists, this is a very big step for the government. It's their continued attack on our civil liberty and freedom. It is a big step they have taken to acclimate us to being treated like cattle with no rights.

They don't care if the airlines lose tons of business and money. They will prop them up and keep the resistance movement out of the news. That way people eventually give up and/or get used to this next step in their enslavement of mankind.

Thought I'd add a few links to add to this great thread....

This is for the folks that said if you don't like the TSA don't fly... because now they are coming to your rail, bus and highways to increase your safefy.

The" TSA is invading travel by other means, too. No surprise, really: as soon groping was established in airports, Napolitano expressed her desire to expand TSA jurisdiction over all forms of mass transit. In the past year, TSA's snakelike VIPR (Visual Intermodal Prevention and Response) teams have been slithering into more and more bus and train stations – and even running checkpoints on highways – never in response to actual threats.
TSA spokesman Jim Fotenos confirmed this a few days before the Houston raids, when VIPR teams and local police did the same thing to travelers catching trains out of the Amtrak station in Alton, Illinois. Fotenos confirmed that "It was not in response to a specific threat," and bragged that VIPR teams conduct "thousands" of these operations each year."

Here's a govt link explaining how they've been going about securing our mass transit systems.
