Why USA wont go to war with China

It seems some people here are getting a little frisky with the idea that China and America are on the verge of war. Well who can blame them, the two biggest powers in the world in all out war is an exciting premise to certain steriotypes of people. Rest assured in my only slightly informed opinion i highly doubt this to be a possibilty. Heres somthing to think about

China is the biggest creditor in the world, America owns the biggest debt in the world. this gives both countries large volumes of power over the global economy. Its easy to see how being the biggest creditor lends power but to explain how debt gives power id draw on this example. If i owed the bank $10000 id be in trouble. if i owned the bank $5000000000 then id be in trouble, but not nearly as much as the trouble the bank would be in. hopefully that makes sence. ( the bank then having an enourmous deficit to repay would want to ensure the best conditions for me to be able to find a way in which to repay the bank ) hence giving me a certain degree of power. "im not sure i can make that extra $2000000 without a bacon sandwhich every day"

In 2006 to 2008 Chinas dollar reserves almost doubled from 1 to 2 trillion $ im not sure what the figures are today but if the line on the graph continues in a linear fashion im guessing around 5 trillion, ( data taken from council on foreign relations ) this singular fact ( chinas reserves in dollars ) means that if china attacked the USA it would lose almost half of its economy following the collapse of the dollar. and vise versa. if america attacked china then its economy would almost certainly collapse as it would lose its main creditor.

relations with china and the USA appear edgy perhaps because the USA finally has a challenger in the world economy that can pull strings as tightly as it can. USA had become rather too happy bullying other countries in and out of political stances etc to suit its own ends, but now with china in the equation USA cant just own the world anymore. the best part is these countries are so engrained into each other economically that even if one side was 100 percent certain it could win the war it would be almost pointless because by such a time both economies would have collapsed. there can be no war between these states under current conditions only the angry rantings of politicians and company CEOs who want more profits.

FYI its almost like an economic cold war. i bet if you really get down and dirty with the facts you will see some economic tactics playing out. the war between china and th USA doesnt use ammunition bombs or soldiers it uses strategic economic apparatus - USA in Iraq and the Iran propagander is one of them. ( ensuring the dolla is backed by oil ) Chinas expansion of the Yuan another. each side trying to tilt the scales in its favour.

You are correct. The US will never start it. China will not push it unless they have too. The US is worth too much to them. They know if war breakouts the US will suddenly declare all debt to China null & void & will lose their biggest customer the US. Not only that the US would easily & comprehensively defeat China easily in any war. The only way it would happen is if some reason the US is declared bankrupt as a nation officially, China will try to come debt collecting!. But that will never happen as they now have ways to keep printing money and avoid hyper inflation. Either way very very unlikely

Stop thinking like a capatilist for a change, sometimes people don't give a rats ass about the money,, they would be communists,, they have a plan that plan is they want to control things,, its simple, and by control things i don't mean the markets.
So stop putting all your chips on the MONEY factor,, and who are better gamblers anyway,,???

The real, actual reason the USA will not war with China is simple...

China is the 'proving grounds' for ideas and policies ...for the control of large groups of people.

The USA is watching for how China deals with their few capitalists allowed, and how they are dealt
with in being vulture capitalists or ego centric corporation bosses..
the USA is also watching their diverse agricultural population transform into factory line workers,
the US is also watching the masses being allowed to own gold in China & just what ramifications
to expect...

the US wants to see the programs of crowd control using less than deadly force, the Chinese
Central Planners will use...
all-in-all... the USA is giving away space technology & nuclear technology so the Red Chinese
can approximate the American stage of advancement to make their system comparable to ours
so that comparison data is more valid & real. Then the USA does not need to run experimental
programs on our own population...just leave the Communist Chinese run the model at their expense,
and we will monitor them the best we can.... Thats a cheap alternative

Just look at the whole China central planning regemin, the non-lethal crowd control, the experiment with
Chinese owning gold & silver bullion..(& the future seizure of such)
And you will be seeing the future of the USA

Yeah, I doubt that. It's not like they already aren't good at suppressing dissent and ideas.

The reason we don't go to war with them is, believe it or not, because war isn't always desirable and it doesn't serve us or them for there to be a war.

Proxy wars and skirmishes are what we will most likely see. The US and China are both working to exert an incredible amount of influence right now with other countries ... with access to resources being the main goal.

China is spending ridiculous amounts of money to make friends around the world and overcome the "security" based and economic relationships the US has around the globe.

To some degree this is working for China because people respond to immediate threats (fight or flight). And right now most countries need cash immediately. They might need security later, but the immediate threat is what people respond to.

Proxy wars may include countries like Japan, Iran, N & S Korea ... ultimately, the US and China could be warring wth each other by warring with these other countries.

The only way I reasonably see China and the US coming into military conflict is over a sea-dispute, in relation with N. Korea or, most likely, China tries to "take back" Taiwan and the US is obliged to defend it.

Even worse than that. I have a thought that if enough nukes hit the planet the force of all the bombs going off will tear this world apart and create a new asteroid field.

Well one we cant afford it! and two we depend on them to much because America is to lazy to build there own products.
